Understanding the Journey and Impact on Families and your own
Becoming an egg donor is a generous and empowering act that can help individuals and couples achieve their dreams of parenthood. At ACRC, we ensure your journey is guided with care, clarity, and support from start to finish. Here’s a step-by-step overview of what to expect:
Registration & Application
Begin by completing our simple online registration form. If you meet the initial criteria, our team will reach out to guide you through a more detailed application and schedule an introductory consultation to review your goals, answer questions, and outline the next steps.
Pre-qualification
We carefully review your application to confirm you meet our eligibility requirements. If you have prior egg donation experience, we will request your IVF records. You may also undergo an AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) test as part of the pre-qualification process to evaluate your ovarian reserve.
Matching
Our team will create a non-identifying profile that highlights your key characteristics—such as eye and hair color, education, background, and other relevant traits. This profile is shared with Intended Parents who are searching for specific qualities in a donor. Once there is mutual interest, we’ll notify you of the potential match. If both you and the Intended Parents consent, we may arrange a brief match meeting to confirm compatibility before moving forward.

Screening
After a match is confirmed, you’ll undergo comprehensive screening in line with ASRM recommendations and FDA requirements. This includes:
-
Fertility assessment
-
Genetic carrier screening
-
FDA infectious disease panel
-
Psychological evaluation
These steps help ensure you’re in optimal health and fully prepared for the donation process.
Legal Contract
Once medically cleared, both you and the Intended Parents will have legal representation to review and finalize a donation agreement. This contract outlines all expectations, responsibilities, and compensation—ensuring full legal protection for both parties.

IVF CYCle
Following legal clearance, your IVF cycle begins. You’ll take hormonal medications to stimulate egg production, and attend several monitoring appointments at a fertility clinic to track your response. Once the timing is right, you’ll be scheduled for egg retrieval.
eGG rETRIVAL
Egg retrieval is a short outpatient procedure performed under light sedation by experienced fertility specialists. It typically takes 15–30 minutes, with most donors able to resume normal activities within 1–2 days. Your compensation will be released from escrow on the day of retrieval.

fOLLOW-UP
After retrieval, we will offer any support needed for your well-being. We recommend a rest period of one to two months before considering another cycle, allowing your body to fully recover.
